Stryve shortlists for two categories for the 2023 Tech Excellence Awards

Stryve has been shortlisted in the 2023 Tech Excellence Awards. Stryve is now in the running for the Vertical Market Specialist of the Year award. The Vertical Market Specialist category recognises those that “demonstrate long-term vision in building and financing sustainable business growth.”

The Tech Excellence Awards is Ireland’s badge of honour in the tech sector. It represents the most prestigious achievements, recognising the skills, innovation and determination of the technology business and its people.

 

Private Cloud Company for Vertical Market Specialist

 

Stryve identified ‘secure private cloud’ as a substantial growth opportunity and launched in 2018. It offers cutting-edge private cloud cyber security to SMEs, Governments and private enterprises across 20 EU countries including Spain, Malta, Poland, and the UK. Having opened its first EU sales office in Poland in 2021, Stryve invested €1M in a UK expansion in 2022. The UK expansion also saw a second sales office open in London along with continued expansion in the UK.  Stryve recently established a tech hub in Morocco and opened its first creative studio in Bagenalstown, Carlow.

Significant new contracts include the Polish Government, Tricel, a global construction company, Ward & Burke, a multi-million euro engineering firm, IPC, International Post Company, Belgium, Clonmel Enterprises and Velico Medical.  Going forward Stryve plans to continue its mergers and acquisitions across the EU and USA.

IT Professional of the Year Award

 

Paul Delahunty has also been shortlisted in the 2023 Tech Excellence Awards. The Stryve Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) was recently named Security Leader of the Year at the CIO & IT Leaders Awards 2023 and is now up for the IT Professional of the Year award.

Paul started his career as an engineer with Ericsson. He later co-founded ThorsNet, a cybersecurity and compliance company which advised Irish SMEs on GDPR and ISO27001 compliance in 2018. More recently, he worked as Information Security and Audit Manager for Hostelworld before joining the team at Stryve.

In his role as CISO at Stryve, Paul’s goal is to foster a cyber security-awareness culture in businesses across Ireland. Paul is a Member of the Cyber Ireland SME Committee and  ICTTF (International Cyber Threat Task Force). He is CISSP certified and is currently undertaking further studies with the Cyber Risk Academy

The Stryve team has marked May 25th in the calendar and looks forward to celebrating with colleagues, customers, and industry friends, at one of the biggest nights in tech.
